Our esteemed partners from Oxford Brookes University, Instituto Pedro Nunes, and Brunel University London have recently published a scientific paper titled "Al-rich industrial waste as a new alternative of fumed silica for the manufacture of vacuum insulation panels for building energy conservation."
The paper, featured in the Journal of Cleaner Production, explores the potential of aluminium anodizing sludge (ALW) as a substitute for fumed silica (FS) in vacuum insulation panel (VIP) cores. This innovative research opens doors for more sustainable superinsulation materials in the construction industry.
